Eligibility: Applications are open to full-time faculty members at Boğaziçi University. Each faculty member may participate in a maximum of two YÖK-ADEP projects concurrently: one as the Principal Investigator and one as a Researcher.

Project Budget: The maximum project budget is TRY 4,500,000 (including VAT).

Project Duration: The project duration is a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 24 months. For multi-year projects, budget projections for subsequent years must be submitted during the proposal phase. (For 18-month projects, the budget request for the final 6 months may not exceed 50% of the annual budget ceiling.)

Submission Procedure: Complete application documents must be submitted electronically to Scientific Research Projects Process Management System (BAPSİS) within the application period.

In accordance with the Research-Oriented Mission Differentiation Guide published by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), projects to be supported under ADEP will be evaluated with due consideration of the priorities set forth in the current Development Plan.

For the 2027 Call, the university-specific thematic focus area restriction applied in previous application periods has been lifted; project proposals will instead be evaluated based on their alignment with the priorities of the current Development Plan. Accordingly, project proposals are expected to demonstrate clear alignment with the priorities of the Twelfth Development Plan (2024–2028), and this alignment should be explicitly articulated in the proposal. Projects proposed for funding are expected to meet the following criteria:

• Inclusion of master's and doctoral fellowship support, as well as the employment of postdoctoral researchers, for the purpose of developing human resources;
• Emphasis on the potential for projects to evolve into international collaborations;
• Priority given to projects whose outputs have the potential for high-quality publications;
• No allocation of project budgets toward the purchase of machinery, equipment, and fixed assets intended to build infrastructure;
• Planning of projects in a way that supports the participation of international researchers.
