The maximum annual budget request per project is TRY 4,500,000 (including VAT).

All budget requests must be prepared in Turkish Lira (TRY). The requested budget must include VAT as well as all applicable customs duties and other import-related costs for equipment or materials procured from abroad.

Project proposals should be planned to cover all anticipated costs within the requested budget. No additional funding will be provided to compensate for exchange rate fluctuations or other unforeseen increases in project costs.

Project proposals must be prepared with due care and submitted in a complete and well-organized manner. All required supporting documents must be included at the time of submission. Applications are evaluated by two internal peer reviewers, and revisions may be requested if needed.

Projects may have a duration of 12 to 24 months. For projects extending beyond one year, projected budget requirements for each project year must be specified in the proposal. For 18-month projects, the budget requested for the final six-month period may not exceed 50% of the annual budget ceiling.

Applicants should describe, under Section 7 of the proposal, how the project will contribute to the training of human resources through the involvement of Boğaziçi University graduate students as either research personnel or scholarship holders. The proposal should also explain the project's potential to generate high-quality scientific publications and to develop into future international research collaborations.

Only graduate students enrolled at Boğaziçi University are eligible to participate in YÖK-ADEP projects. They may be appointed either as full-time research personnel (with full social security coverage) or as scholarship holders. A project may include a maximum of two full-time research personnel and two scholarship holders concurrently.

Applications to the YÖK Research Universities Support Program (YÖK-ADEP) are open only to full-time faculty members. Each faculty member may participate in a maximum of two projects: one as the Principal Investigator and one as a Researcher.
