Guidelines for Project Personnel

  1. Under YÖK-ADEP projects, only graduate students enrolled at Boğaziçi University may be appointed as full-time research personnel (with full social security coverage under the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK)) or as scholarship recipients.

  2. Each project may include a maximum of two (2) graduate students employed as full-time research personnel and two (2) graduate students appointed as scholarship recipients concurrently.

  3. The full-time research personnel positions may also be filled by postdoctoral researchers (postdocs). Accordingly, different staffing combinations are permitted within these positions, such as one postdoctoral researcher and one graduate student (master's or doctoral) together with two scholarship recipients, or two postdoctoral researchers together with two scholarship recipients.

  4. For full-time research personnel, the minimum monthly salary is the current statutory minimum wage. Salary requests may be made within the applicable minimum and maximum funding limits, provided that they are not lower than the statutory minimum wage. The maximum salary limits are provided below:

  3. Not be employed by any institution or organization.
  4. Not be receiving a domestic graduate scholarship under a TÜBİTAK Graduate Scholarship Program during the same period.

Budget Updates

If the statutory minimum wage or the YÖK scholarship amounts are revised during the project period, supplementary funding will be provided automatically by the system for personnel costs that fall below the updated minimum levels. The Principal Investigator is not required to take any action, and the corresponding salary or scholarship adjustments will be reflected automatically.
