Boğaziçi University Project Office is pleased to invite our esteemed faculty members to an online information session focused on the ERC 2026 Consolidator Grant call.

The ERC Consolidator Grant is a prestigious research funding scheme that supports researchers who have already established scientific independence, wish to strengthen their own research group or programme, and who propose ambitious and original research projects.

Within this call:

• Researchers who defended their PhD between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018 are eligible to apply.
• In special cases (such as maternity, military service, long-term illness, etc.), the eligibility window may be extended in line with the relevant rules.
• Successful projects may receive up to EUR 2 million in core funding for a period of up to 5 years.
• An additional EUR 1 million may be requested to cover major equipment purchases, large-scale fieldwork and similar justified costs.
• For researchers currently working in third countries (e.g. USA, Canada, Japan) who plan to move to an EU Member State or Associated Country (such as Türkiye) under an ERC project, there is an opportunity to request up to an additional EUR 2 million in “start-up” funding to support lab set-up and team building.

For researchers currently based in Türkiye or those planning to return to Türkiye from abroad, this call represents an important funding opportunity. The deadline for applications to the ERC-2026-COG call is 13 January 2026, 17:00 (Brussels time).

During the session, we will provide practical information on the scope of the call, eligibility criteria, budget structure and application process, and there will be time allocated for Q&A.

We encourage the participation of all faculty members who are interested in the program or wish to learn more.
