Applications Open for TÜBİTAK 1001 Program 2026 1st Term!
The application process for the 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program, conducted by the Academic Research Funding Program Directorate (ARDEB), has commenced for the 1st term of 2026. The program aims to support projects that comply with scientific principles to generate new knowledge, make scientific interpretations, or solve technological problems.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
- The program is open to researchers working in universities, public institutions, or private organizations.
- Must hold a PhD degree and be a permanent/full-time staff member of the institution where the project will be conducted.
- Retirees and postdoctoral researchers not working in any institution may apply provided they do not receive a Project Incentive Bonus - PTI.
- Researchers and advisors must have completed at least a 4-year university undergraduate education.
💶 Funding & Duration
- Project budget upper limit without an annual budget limitation is 3,000,000 TL (Excluding Scholarships, PTI, and Overhead).
- Maximum 36 months.
Scholarship Limits (Monthly):
- Post-doctoral Researcher: 43,500 TL
- PhD Student: 32,500 TL (Not working) / 8,500 TL (Working)
- MSc Student: 22,500 TL (Not working) / 6,000 TL (Working)
- Undergraduate Student: 6,000 TL
📌 Important Links
📌 If the project proposal is compatible with the "Priority R&D and Innovation Topics within the Scope of Compliance with the Green Deal," this compatibility must be detailed in the application form.
📌 If the same project proposal has been submitted to the 1001 Program previously and rejected 3 times, a 4th application cannot be made with the same proposal.
📌 If a previously rejected project is being resubmitted, the "Project Proposal Change Notification Form" must be filled out. If the form is not filled out, the project will be returned without evaluation.
