Applications Open for the 2nd Term of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program in 2026!
Applications are now open for the second term of 2026 under the 1001 – The Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program, administered by the Directorate for Research Funding Programmes (ARDEB).
The program aims to support scientifically sound projects designed to generate new knowledge, provide scientific interpretation, or solve technological problems.

📌 Application Process
Applications must be submitted online through the ARDEB Project Application System.
To be eligible for evaluation, applicants must complete and upload the current Application Form and its annexes available on the 1001 Program webpage. Project proposals submitted using outdated application forms will be returned without evaluation.
✅ Who Can Apply?
- The program is open to researchers working at universities, public institutions, and private organizations.
- Principal investigators must hold a PhD or an equivalent degree and be permanent/full-time staff members of the institution where the project will be conducted.
- Retired researchers and postdoctoral researchers who are not employed by an institution may serve as principal investigators, provided that they do not receive a Project Incentive Bonus (PTI).
- Researchers and consultants participating in the project must have completed at least four years of undergraduate university education.
💶 Funding and Duration
- The maximum project budget is TRY 3,000,000, without an annual budget limitation. Scholarships are included in this amount, while the Project Incentive Bonus (PTI) and institutional overhead are excluded.
- Project duration: Maximum 36 months
