The application and nomination process has started for the 2026 edition of the TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards, which have been awarded for over 60 years and are among the most prestigious scientific awards in Türkiye.

The programme aims to promote the development of scientists and researchers and includes four award categories: Science, Special, Service, and Incentive Awards.

🔎 Award Categories and Application Conditions

• Science, Special, and Service Awards: Direct applications are not accepted. Candidates must be nominated by authorized institutions or individuals.
• Incentive Award: Researchers may apply individually or be nominated by authorized bodies.

✅ Who Can Nominate Candidates?

Candidates may be nominated by the following institutions and bodies:

• The Council of Higher Education
• Previous recipients of TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service, or TÜBİTAK–TWAS Science Awards
• The Turkish Academy of Sciences Council
• University Senates or Executive Boards
• Highest decision-making bodies of public and private sector institutions
• TÜBİTAK Research Group Executive Committees
