Applications for the 2nd Term of 2026 for the TÜBİTAK 2250 Performance-Based Scholarships Programme for PhD and Post-Doc Scholars Are Now Open!
Applications are now open for the second term of 2026 under the 2250 - Performance-Based Scholarships Programme for PhD and Post-Doc Scholars, administered by the TÜBİTAK Science Fellowships and Grant Programmes Department (BİDEB).
The program aims to encourage doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers serving as scholars in TÜBİTAK-supported projects to conduct research, enhance their performance and motivation, and strengthen the research ecosystem.
📅 Call Calendar
• Application Start Date: August 3, 2026
• Online Application Deadline: August 25, 2026 (17:30)
✅ Eligibility
• Doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers who served for at least 10 days within a single month in an active TÜBİTAK project during the relevant fellowship period (February 2026 - July 2026).
• Scholars with a total performance score* of at least 70, calculated by the principal investigator (PI).
*Scientific outputs (articles, patents, books, etc.) published/produced between January 1, 2024, and August 25, 2026, are considered when calculating the performance score.
📄 Application Process
• Applications must be submitted online through the TÜBİTAK Management Information System (TYBS).
• To be eligible for evaluation, the application must be approved online by both the scholar and the principal investigator.
• The commitment document generated by the system must be signed and retained by the principal investigator to be submitted upon request.
💶 Funding
Funding is provided monthly based on the performance indicators and the score calculated through the PI's evaluation.
- Fellowship Amounts (Monthly):
- Doctoral Students: Between TRY 6,250 and TRY 11,000
- Postdoctoral Researchers: Between TRY 9,000 and TRY 13,500
Payments are made retroactively as a collective payment for the relevant period (February-July).
