The “ENLIGHT-AI” project, coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Yavuz Acar of the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Boğaziçi University, has been awarded funding under the European Union’s Horizon Europe WIDERA Twinning 2026 Call.

ENLIGHT-AI will be coordinated by Boğaziçi University under this highly competitive call, which received approximately 160 applications and selected only 10 projects from Türkiye for funding.

The project, titled “ENLIGHT-AI: Twinning for Excellence in the Application of Unbiased Artificial Intelligence for the Investigation, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Neurodegenerative Diseases,” brings together a consortium of five institutions and organisations. Boğaziçi University will serve as the project coordinator, while the Turkish Employers’ Association of Metal Industries (MESS) will participate as a project partner. The two beneficiary institutions in Türkiye will receive a total of €779,875 in grant funding.
