Horizon Europe Support for Boğaziçi University's "RESHAPE" Project

The international project "RESHAPE" (Reshaping Food Systems), featuring faculty members from Boğaziçi University, has been awarded funding from two prestigious institutions for its goals regarding the sustainable transformation of food systems.

The project will be supported at the European Union level under the Horizon Europe "FutureFoodS" partnership and at the national level within the framework of the TÜBİTAK 1071 Support Program for Participation in International Research Projects.

With a total budget of €1,736,430, the RESHAPE project aims to develop sustainable models that reconnect producers and consumers by examining food systems through interdisciplinary approaches such as agroecology, ecological economics, rural sociology, and political ecology.

The study will be conducted by Assoc. Prof. Pınar Ertör Akyazı from the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Assoc. Prof. Irmak Ertör from the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History. The project will be implemented by a powerful international consortium including esteemed institutions from Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, and Spain. We congratulate our faculty members on this outstanding achievement, which bridges Boğaziçi University’s academic expertise with global food strategies, and we wish them continued success in their research.
