TÜBİTAK 4004 Education in Nature and Science Camps/Schools Support Program

The 2025 call (19th Call) for the TÜBİTAK 4004 Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program, run by the TÜBİTAK Science and Society Directorate, has been published. The program aims to bring scientific knowledge to society, disseminate it through visualization and interactive applications, and encourage participants' sense of curiosity, inquiry, and desire to learn. Projects can be submitted under Main Call Areas or Thematic Call Areas (e.g., Natural Disasters, Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, etc.).

  • Activity Period: 13 April 2026 – 31 October 2026

Eligibility

  • The Project Coordinator must have at least a Master's degree (with or without thesis).
  • Must be a full-time, permanent staff member at a public institution, university, municipality, or a science center operated by the public or municipality.
  • Must not hold administrative positions specified in the Call Text (For universities: Rectors, Deans, Institute Directors (excluding Research Institutes), Directors of Higher Schools, Directors of Vocational Schools, and assistants/deputies of these listed titles cannot be project coordinators).
  • Projects must be aimed at one or more of the following groups: Pre-school, primary school, middle school, high school students, associate degree, undergraduate, graduate students, teachers, or science center employees.

📂 Support Scope and Duration

  • The maximum project duration is 9 months.
  • Each activity period must be at least 4 days. For projects with accommodation, the duration is limited to a maximum of 7 days (6 nights), including opening/closing.
  • Scope (Eligible Costs):
  • Machinery/Equipment (Cannot exceed 15% of the total support limit).
  • Consumables.
  • Travel expenses (Excludes inner-city transport, personal vehicle fuel, and taxi fares).
  • Expert/consultancy fees (Within set limits for instructors, guides, health personnel, etc.).
  • Food/Subsistence (Max 900 TL/day per person, VAT incl. for project team and participants).
  • Accommodation (Max 1,800 TL/day per person, VAT incl. for project team and participants).
  • Scientific meeting participation fee (Max 2,100 TL for one person per project).
  • Promotional printing costs (Posters, brochures, etc. Cannot exceed 3% of the total support limit).

Ineligible Costs: General-purpose devices (computers, printers, cameras), software, production (animation, etc.), venue rental, maintenance/repair, construction, and promotional website design are not supported.

💶 Funding Opportunities

  • Support Upper Limit: 425,000 TL (VAT included, PTI excluded).
  • Institutional Share is Not applicable.
  • Project Incentive Bonus (PTI): 25,000 TL for the project coordinator.
  • If the project involves multiple activity periods for different target groups (each min. 4 days), the PTI is 35,000 TL.
