The Fifth European Union Clean Air Forum
The Fifth EU Clean Air Forum will take place from 1 – 2 December 2025 in Bonn, Germany and online.
Organised by the European Commission and hosted by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), the forum will bring together leading experts, policymakers, and advocates. This edition is framed in the context of the evaluation of the National Emission Reduction Commitments (NEC) Directive and the ongoing transposition of the revised Ambient Air Quality Directive.
Sessions will cover the following topics:
- Earth Observation and Clean Air
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Air Quality Analysis
- Clean Air Innovation and Investments for a Competitive Europe
- Do Our Policies Work? Evaluation of the NEC Directive
- Regional Action on Clean Air
- Super Pollutants – Bad for the Climate and Bad for the Air
- Improving How We Talk About Clean Air and Health in Cities
The forum will also feature an exhibition area showcasing cutting-edge knowledge on air pollution, data tools, and innovations from contributors like the EU Space Program, European Environment Agency (EEA), Joint Research Centre (JRC), and EU-funded projects (Atmos, Modelair, RiUrbans).
