The Europe Mission Soil Week and Info Days
The European Mission Soil Week (EMSW) 2025 will take place on November 5-6, 2025, at Aarhus University, Denmark. The event is organized by the Danish Ministry of Green Transition, Aarhus University, and the European Commission (DG AGRI), under the auspices of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
This year's edition focuses on "investments and business models for soil health," addressing the need to channel resources toward sustainable land management. The urgent need for investment is highlighted by the estimated financing gap of over EUR 100 billion in agriculture alone.
The event comes at a pivotal moment, following the provisional agreement on the EU Soil Monitoring and Resilience Directive. It will also showcase Denmark’s "green tripartite" model and its approach to multifunctional land management for the green transition in agriculture.
Participants will have the opportunity to discover results from Mission Soil-funded projects, insights from newly established Mission Soil Living Labs, and inspiring examples of sustainable soil management. EMSW 2025 aims to bridge research, policy, and finance, unlocking resources for soil regeneration and expanding private sector engagement.
📌 Pre-registration for in-person attendance has closed, but registration for online participation is still open. Plenary sessions will be livestreamed; however, breakout sessions will be held in person only, with their outcomes shared during a livestreamed plenary session.
