The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI), the world's largest public-private partnership in health, has launched its single-stage, applicant-driven Call 12. With a total budget of EUR 163.1 million, the call supports projects focusing on the 5 specific objectives of the IHI Strategic Research Agenda: understanding health determinants, integrating fragmented R&I efforts, people-centered integrated solutions, digitalization/data exchange in healthcare, and assessing the added value of innovative solutions.

Eligibility

  • Consortia including academia, industry, SMEs, patient organizations, and regulators are eligible.
  • Consortia must ensure that at least 45% of the total project budget is covered by contributions (in-kind or financial - IKOP, IKAA, FC) provided by project participants (industry members or contributing partners).
  • Entities from Türkiye are eligible for funding under all topics.

📂 Support Scope and Duration

· Project duration is defined per project (Typically multi-year R&D projects).

Scope:

  • Personnel Costs: Salaries for researchers and project staff.
  • Travel Costs: Transport and accommodation for meetings/fieldwork.
  • Equipment and Consumables: Purchase of devices, software, and materials.
  • Subcontracting: External services required for specific tasks.
  • Indirect Costs (Overhead): Flat rate for general administrative expenses (usually 25%).

💶 Funding Opportunity

  • Max IHI (EU) Contribution: EUR 163.1 Million.
  • The IHI grant covers a portion of costs; the remainder must be matched by consortium partners' contributions (min 45%).
