The iNNO SED project aims to advance and showcase sediment assessment methodologies while demonstrating management solutions for specific sediment-related challenges, such as severe erosion or polluted sediments. This "Call for Associated Regions" aims to enlarge the pool of regions supporting the HE Mission Ocean and deploy small-scale pilots demonstrating results' transferability. The call invites local or regional authorities to actively participate in advancing innovative sediment management solutions, focusing on knowledge transfer and scalability.

📅 Call Timeline

  • Application open: 15 September 2025
  • Application close: 17 November 2025 (16:00 CET)
  • Check of eligibility: 18 November - 31 December 2025
  • Evaluation (Ranking): 1 January - 31 January 2026
  • Consortium decision: by 28th February 2026
  • Preparation of contracts shall start: March 2026

Eligibility

  • Applicants can only be local/regional authorities from 'Associated Regions'.
  • 'Associated Regions' must be located in Member States/Associated countries other than those in the iNNO SED consortium (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine).
  • Only one proposal will be accepted for funding per applicant.
  • Applicants should have a good command of English.

💶 Funding Opportunities

  • The maximum amount of financial support to each third party (Associated Region) will be EUR 100,000.
  • The financial support will be provided in the form of grants.
  • iNNO SED expects to fund projects from at least 5 different 'Associated Regions'.
  • Payment will be made in two instalments: one pre-financing payment of 50% and one final payment of the remaining 50% upon approval of the final report.
