The European Commission has published the single-stage calls under Destination 4, "Clean Environment and Zero Pollution," within the scope of Horizon Europe Cluster 6. These calls aim to produce innovative solutions in areas such as the protection of marine ecosystems, ecosystem restoration, and water management in rural areas.
📅 Call Timeline (Single-Stage Calls)
- Opening Date: April 17, 2026
- Closing Date: September 17, 2026
✅ Eligibility
- Universities, research centers, SMEs, industrial organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
- It is mandatory to form an international consortium consisting of partners from at least 3 different countries, provided that at least one is an EU member state.
- Stakeholders with project writing potential are expected to submit their Expression of Interest (EoI) forms, prepared in English, to ncpenv@tubitak.gov.tr. Alignment with the "expected outcome" and "scope" sections is of critical importance when filling out the forms.
📂 Support Scope and Duration
- No fixed maximum duration is defined for the projects; however, they are expected to last between 36 and 48 months.
Single-Stage Calls to be Evaluated Under Support Scope:
- HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-01: Toward a comprehensive assessment of the disturbance of marine ecosystems by anthropogenic underwater noise (RIA, €10.00 M, 1 Project).
- HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-02: Bioremediation of Ukraine’s ecosystems contaminated by conflicts (IA, €11.00 M, 2 Projects).
- HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-03: Developing managed aquifer recharge techniques (MAR) in a rural context (RIA, €12.00 M, 2 Projects).
💶 Funding Opportunities
- Total Budget (For Single-Stage Calls): €33,000,000.
- Support Per Project: Ranges between €10M and €12M depending on the topic.
- Grant Rate: 100% for RIA projects; for IA projects, 70% for profit-making entities and 100% for non-profit entities.
