The European Partnership for Sustainable Food Systems (FutureFoodS) has officially launched its 2025 Joint Transnational Call titled "Accelerating Food Sustainability - through Household Dietary Shifts, Trust and Transparency, and Innovations in Circular Food Processing Systems". Supported by 38 funding organizations from 20 countries and the European Commission, the call aims to fund innovative, interdisciplinary research and development projects that contribute to creating a more sustainable, resilient, and healthy food future. Projects must address one of the following topics: Household food practices nurturing sustainable and healthy diets, Diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems, or Trust and transparency in sustainable food systems.

• Pre-proposal Submission Deadline: February 11, 2026 (14.00)
• Stage 1 National Application Deadline: February 18, 2026 (23.59)

• Project Start: Between November 2026 and March 2027

✅ Eligibility

• Proposals must be submitted by transnational consortia comprising at least 3 eligible partners from at least 3 different countries participating in the call (including at least 2 EU Member States or Associated Countries).
• Higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions, and private companies established in Turkey are eligible under the TÜBİTAK 1071 Program.

📂 Support Scope and Duration

• Maximum project duration is 36 months.

Scope: Personnel, travel, equipment/software, service procurement, materials/consumables.

💶 Funding Opportunities (TÜBİTAK)

• Maximum funding per project from TÜBİTAK: €130,000 (excluding overhead & PTİ).

Limits per Partner:

• Higher Ed/Public: €100,000.
• 100% for Higher Ed/Public; 60% for Large Companies; 75% for SMEs funding rate.
