EUPAHW (European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare) 2nd Call
Bringing together 91 partners from 19 countries, the European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUPAHW) has launched its 2026 Joint Transnational Call to ensure animal welfare and optimize the prevention of infectious diseases. The call supports projects focusing on improving Animal Welfare throughout the production cycle (birth, rearing, transport, and slaughter) and Prevention and Control efforts that develop innovative therapeutics and vaccines to combat infectious diseases, reduce antimicrobial use, and enhance livestock resilience. The integration of socioeconomic considerations as a complementary objective is also encouraged. Private sector participation is strictly mandatory for proposals addressing drug development and interventions (actions OO7-A2 and OO7-A3) and highly encouraged for all other actions.

✅ Eligibility
- Proposals must be submitted by transnational consortia comprising a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 eligible partners from at least 3 different participating countries.
- To ensure balanced partnerships, the total budget of partners from a single country must not exceed 50% of the total proposal budget.
- Self-funded partners can join the consortium but cannot act as the coordinator and do not count towards the minimum/maximum number of partners.
📂 Support Scope and Duration
- Maximum project duration is 36 months.
- Generally, includes personnel costs, travel, consumables, equipment, subcontracting, data management, and open-access publication costs.
💶 Funding Opportunities and Rates
- Max Contribution per Project: €150,000.
- Limits per Partner Institution: €100,000 for Higher Education/Public/Hospitals;
- 100% for Higher Education/Public; 60% for Large Enterprises; 75% for SMEs funding.
- Up to 175,000 TL for scientific meetings/conferences, and up to 300,000 TL for working visits/networking among partners. The total maximum travel allowance per partner institution is 475,000 TL.
