The ERC 2026 Starting Grant call is now open, with applications due by 14 October 2025. The call supports early-career researchers who obtained their PhD 2–7 years ago, have demonstrated scientific independence, and are ready to establish their own research programme based on original and ambitious ideas.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate in their proposals the ground-breaking nature, objectives, and feasibility of their research.
