The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) has launched its 2026 Joint Transnational Call (JTC2026), titled "Personalised Medicine for CARdiovascular, MEtabolic, and kidNey diseases (CARMEN2026)", on 25 November 2025. This call aims to fund multinational innovative research projects on personalised medicine (PM), bringing together academic, clinical, and private research teams to enhance the competitiveness of Europe in this field. Proposals should address one or more of the following aspects related to cardiovascular, metabolic, or kidney diseases:

  • Innovative personalized therapeutic approaches.
  • Monitoring of treatment response in patients to tailor treatment pathways.
  • Early disease risk prediction and prevention of disease worsening or comorbidities

  • Call Publication: 25 November 2025
  • Information Day Webinar: 16 December 2025
  • Pre-proposal Submission Deadline: 10 February 2026 (16.00)
  • Invitation to Full Proposal: Expected around 05 May 2026
  • Full Proposal Submission Deadline: 09 June 2026 (15.00)
  • Rebuttal Stage: Mid/end of August 2026
  • Funding Decision Communication: Expected October 2026
  • Project Start: End 2026 / Beginning 2027

Eligibility

  • Proposals must be submitted by transnational consortia composed of a minimum of three eligible partners from at least three different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries participating in the call.
  • Academia (universities, research institutes), clinical/public health sector (hospitals, healthcare settings), private for-profit (SME, industry) and private non-profit partners (foundations, NGOs).

📌 Partners from Türkiye must submit a national application to TÜBİTAK 1071 Program in addition to the international application.

📂 Support Scope and Duration

  • Projects can last up to 36 months.

Scope (Eligible Costs for Turkish Partners):

  • According to TÜBİTAK 1071 Program, personnel, travel, equipment/software, consumables, and subcontracting/services are eligible. Infrastructure building projects are not supported.

💶 Funding Opportunities

  • Total Call Budget: Approximately 38 Million €.
  • Funding limits per project/partner will be defined by TÜBİTAK. Applicants must add Project Incentive Bonus and Institutional Share on top of the project cost.
