The BE READY NOW has launched its Joint Transnational Call 2026 to improve the capacity to anticipate, prevent, and respond to infectious health threats. The call aims to advance scientific understanding of host-pathogen dynamics, focusing on SRIA Action 1.1 (Therapeutic targets) and Action 1.2 (Pathophysiology). Proposals must target specific virus families (Arenaviridae, Coronaviridae, Filoviridae, Flaviviridae, Hantaviridae, Nairoviridae, Orthomyxoviridae, Paramyxoviridae, Phenuiviridae, Poxviridae, Togaviridae, and "Pathogen X").

Excluded Topics: Clinical trials, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and research addressing SRIA priorities 1.3/1.4.

✅ Eligibility

• Must include at least 3 partners from 3 different countries (minimum 2 EU Member/Associated States).
• The maximum number of partners is 6, which can be increased to 7 if an underrepresented country (Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Moldova) or a company is included.
• Higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions, and private companies (capital companies) are eligible.
• Foundations, associations, sole proprietorships, and ordinary partnerships are not eligible.

📂 Support Scope and Duration

• Maximum project duration is 36 months.

Scope:

• Personnel costs (Researchers, technical staff, etc.).
• Travel costs (Meetings and fieldwork).
• Equipment, software, and publication costs.
• Service procurement and consultancy costs.
• Materials and consumables.

💶 Funding Opportunities

• Max Contribution per Project: 200,000 Euro (excluding Overhead & PTİ).

Limits per Partner:

• Higher Ed/Public/Hospitals: 100,000 Euro (100% funding rate).
• Private Companies: 200,000 Euro (60% for Large Companies, 75% for SMEs).
• Travel Budget: Max 116,000 TL for scientific meetings, max 195,000 TL for study visits/networking.
