The 1001 Program, conducted by TÜBİTAK ARDEB (Research Support Programs Presidency), supports research projects compliant with scientific principles aimed at generating new knowledge, making scientific interpretations, or solving technological problems. The application process for the 1st Term of 2026 has commenced. Projects are evaluated based on Original Value, Method, Project Management, and Widespread Impact criteria.

• Submission System Opening Date: 21 January 2026
• Online Application Deadline: 2 March 2026
• E-Signature Process Deadline: 5 March 2026

✅ Eligibility

• Project investigator must hold a PhD or equivalent degree and be a tenured/full-time staff member at the host institution (University, Public, Private Sector).
• Retirees and unemployed post-doctoral researchers can be PIs (provided they do not receive PTI - Project Incentive Bonus).
• Top-level executives of public institutions and universities (Rector, Chief Physician, General Manager, etc.) cannot be PIs while in office.

📂 Support Scope and Duration

• Maximum project duration is 36 months.

Scope:

• Personnel,
• Equipment (must be balanced with the total budget),
• Consumables,
• Service procurement, and
• Travel expenses.

💶 Funding Opportunities

• Project funding upper limit without an annual budget cap is 3,000,000 TL (Including scholarships; excluding PTI and Overhead).

Scholarship Limits (Monthly):

• Undergraduate Student: 6,000 TL
• Master's Student: 22,500 TL (Not working) / 6,000 TL (Working)
• PhD Student: 32,500 TL (Not working) / 8,500 TL (Working)
• PhD Student (Voluntary Insurance): 37,780 TL
• Post-Doctoral Researcher: 43,500 TL
• Post-Doctoral Researcher (Voluntary Insurance): 48,780 TL
