Prof. Sevil Acar, from the Department of Tourism Management at Boğaziçi University, has been honored the 2025 ITU Science Award in Architecture, Arts, and Social Sciences by Istanbul Technical University in recognition of her distinguished research contributions.

Prof. Sevil Acar has been recognized for her pioneering research on the economic impacts of climate change, environmental, and energy policies, and for her leading work on the "just transition" approach in energy transformation within the framework of Türkiye’s net-zero targets
